Low Slow,

Thought I'd lead with the attention grabber, free brats. :) Not only free brats, but Miesfeld's Grand Champion Brats and natural casing wieners. The occasion is Russo Ace's 40th anniversary. I will be signing books and slinging Low Slow brats from a Weber 22.5 inch Smokey Mountain that will be raffled off at the end of the event.

Russo Ace has been my go-to Weber dealer for 6-7 years, complete line of charcoal products, good prices and service. They have answered the call the few, very few, times I have put the touch on them for charitable requests such as sending WSMs to Mosul or for the Salvation Army.

Low & Slow,

Lots of fun, smoked Meisfeld's brats and spectacular wieners with lump and apple wood and held them in a brew sauna to serve on letter perfect buns from Pticek's Bakery, which is owned by Phil W's wife's family. Phil not only hand delivered the buns expertly manned the cookers while I chatted away and signed books.

Here's Phil with Jen, who stopped by for brats, books and chat, and her friend Sean.

Russo raffled off a WSM 22.5, Weber gas grill, Weber 22.5 kettle grill, and a lawnmower. Not sure what people were more excited about the chance of winning a WSM or free brats. ;)

A couple of people could not decide between brat or hot dog so went with both.

Pticek bun, Miesfeld brat/hot dog, pickled red onion, caramelized onions w/honey, mustard and cayenne

Think I made a convert to BBQ, though she seemed to focus more on the hot dogs. :)

Enjoy,
Gary
